SOLUTIONS BY PRODUCTS

Antimicrobial Products

The warm and often moist environment next to the skin, where clothing lies, can lead to the growth of microorganisms. These microorganisms can multiply on fabrics, making them difficult to remove and resulting in odors, discoloration, staining, and fabric deterioration.

Lainiere Performance Silver uses positively charged silver ions permanently embedded in the material to eliminate microbes on soft surfaces. This includes bacteria, fungus, mold, and mildew.

Certified safe with Oeko-Tex® Standard 100 accreditation.

The innovative power of nature!

Natural Performance from the Earth

Lainiere Performance Silver eliminate the bacteria, fungus, mold, mildew, and viruses* that cause odors, discoloration, staining, and fabric deterioration with the natural power of positively charged silver ions. Made with ions that can be found in water, land, and sea and never with nanosilver.

Safe for Everyone

Lainiere Performance Silver products have received Oeko-Tex® Standard 100 accreditation, meaning they have been tested for harmful substances and that the article therefore is harmless for human health.

Hygienic

The positively charged ions are inherent in the product, so it eliminates microbes on the material for the life of the garment.

Not a chemical finish, Lainiere Performance Silver lasts the life of the product.

Tested to Industry Standards

Accredited global laboratories test and certify our fabrics and furnish test reports for the product.

How does Lainiere Performance Silver works?

Silver has been used as a preservative, an antimicrobial and healing agent for millennia. Positively charged silver ions (Ag+) attracted negatively charged microbes and eliminate them by disrupting their reproductive processes. Silver’s powerful antimicrobial properties offer protection for the life of the product. We never use nanoparticles.

What causes odor in garments?

It begins with sweat. Humans produce eccrine and apocrine sweat. Eccrine sweat is the watery, generally neutral smelling sweat. It’s emitted all over your body, even when you are not working out. Apocrine sweat comes from glands and is made up of fatty compounds. Neither kind of sweat stinks on its own.

The microbes that naturally live on our skin eat the oily compounds in endocrine sweat and it’s the waste from these microbes that leaves odors and stains and degrades fabrics.

Lainiere Performance Silver does not allow microbes to grow on the material, so it won’t carry the smells and stains associated with odor-causing bacteria.
